Get in touch about NSE Historical Data — bug reports, data corrections, questions about the guides, or anything else.

NSE Historical Data is run by one person, Dhruv Bhartiya. Email is the way to reach me, and I read everything that arrives.

I aim to reply within a few working days. This is a free project maintained in spare time, so a slow week happens — a follow-up nudge is fine if something looks urgent.

What to include

A few details turn “it did not work” into something fixable. If you are reporting a problem with a download, please include:

  • the symbol or company name you searched for;
  • the date range you asked for;
  • the exact error message shown in the console, if any;
  • what you expected instead — particularly if the file downloaded fine but a specific figure looks wrong.

Things worth checking first

  • A price that looks impossibly wrong is very often a stock split or bonus issue rather than a bug. The data is unadjusted — here is why.
  • Two rows on the same date means the stock traded in more than one series that day. That is expected — series codes explained.
  • Missing days are usually weekends, exchange holidays, or genuine no-trade days for that stock.
  • A column you do not recognise is probably covered in the column reference.

Other reasons to write

  • Corrections to the guides. If something in the written material is inaccurate or out of date, I would rather know.
  • Feature requests. Useful, though no promises — the scope is deliberately narrow.
  • Privacy questions, covered in the privacy policy.

One thing I cannot help with: what to buy or sell. This site does not give investment advice and I am not licensed to — see the disclaimer.
